Week 16: Wrap-up Webinars & Final Posting...

23 Things I've Learned....
  1. How to Blog and various ways to edit/personalize your Blog
  2. Online Communities- linking these communites together via blog etc.
  3. Online Meetings- new ways to learn without going anywhere except to the internet.
  4. Photo Sharing-with other sites and people
  5. RSS and Feed Readers- a better way to trak your favorite news sites etc.
  6. Tagging and Social Bookmarking-keeping track of websites from anywhere / any connection
  7. Microblogging- tweeting & plurking away,  one mini blog at a time
  8. Cloud Computing- maintaining and collaborating on documents within the internet (clouds)
  9. Instant Messaging- staying connected and making communication within the library and within various departmnets more easy.
  10. Video on the Web-New ways to teach and share information
  11. Screencasting- also new way to teach patrons as well as staff.
  12. Slide Sharing- Great promotional tools or information sharing ability.
  13. Library Thing, Etc.- keeping track of reading lists, whether you want to read, are currently reading, or are finished reading.
  14. Wikis- sharing your ideas and keeping information current and correct.
  15. Don't be Afraid to try.
  16. There is always at least one other person out there that is as confused as you are.
  17. I will never stop learning.
  18. I have new ways to teach others.
  19. You can TEACH an Old dog new tricks :)
  20. There are always ways to use new techology for your job or for your home life.
  21. Librarians are very creative
  22. Learning CAN be FUN!
  23. There are more than 23things to learn about Kansas

What Would You Like to Happen Next?
I wish we could do something like this at KLA and be broken down into sessions, but would also like to continue on this kind of learning path.

 I have really enjoyed the lessons and the variety of all the blogs.
